On top of that last post, BSG also does a fantastic job commenting on the institutionalized oppression in colonialism, and the symptomatic patterns of violence and othering that it creates in its wake. Just really fucking brilliant, again. Leave it up to science fiction to really get across scathing critiques of our own society.

I'm on my 6th straight episode of Battlestar...
Starting this show was an absolutely brilliant idea. Not brilliant for maintaining any sort of a socia life, but at least i’ll be quarantined to my room for long enough to do a cleaning and laundry day.
I wonder how quickly I can finish the whole show without letting my life completely collapse in the process, like I did with Doctor Who.
